Put the staff Inbox on your phone's home screen as its own app: CS Inbox, a brown icon with a white inbox tray, a red number for your unread messages, and a banner for every new text, voicemail, email and team-chat message — even while it's closed. About two minutes.
The app is added from this page, so start here, in Safari. An app opens to wherever it was added from — adding it from the homepage would open the homepage.
The Share button is the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen on an iPhone and at the top right on an iPad.
It is in the list of actions under the row of apps. Scroll down a little if you don't see it.
A preview shows the icon — a brown tile with a white inbox tray — and the name CS Inbox. Leave the name as it is.
This is the icon you'll see in the preview and on your home screen.
From now on use this icon, not Safari. It opens straight to your messages, already signed in, and it is the only place alerts can reach on an iPhone.
Note: If it opens the dashboard instead, go to Inbox inside the app and tap This is the Inbox app under the card at the top. From then on it opens straight to the Inbox — no need to add it again.
At the top of the Inbox is a Message alerts card. Turning it on registers this phone for banners and the unread number on the icon.
Note: Each phone or iPad is turned on separately. Turning alerts off removes only that device.
The same app, installed through Chrome instead of Safari's Share sheet.
Chrome, Edge and Safari on a Mac can all install the Inbox as its own window.
From now on open CS Inbox rather than Safari. Every phone or tablet is set up separately; turning alerts off on one device removes only that device.
